"Celebrate a Beauty Earned: The Motherhood Project" is an evocative and empowering art gallery that showcases the unique journey of motherhood through the lens of the women who live it. This collection is an intimate exploration of the myriad forms of motherhood, presented through photographs that capture the essence of each subject as they wish to be seen. Here, every image tells a story—a personal narrative shaped by the experiences, challenges, and triumphs of each mother.
The gallery not only highlights the individuality and strength of these women but also serves as a canvas for their voices, allowing them to narrate their own stories in their own words. This project is a tribute to the diverse beauty of motherhood, celebrating the unspoken bonds, the silent sacrifices, and the joyous moments that define this journey.

Hi! I'm Joanne Lee Kilgore. You can call me JoLee if it's easier, lots of people do! I'm a photographer and artist.
I'm a 2nd generation photographer and 3rd generation artist, obsessed with my craft. I have been photographing everything I could, printing the images and getting them up on the walls since I was 11 years old. I have been creating custom commissioned art projects since I was 14. I love what I do, and I would love to work with you!
I believe, that it is the mission of artist to reveal truth. We have "The Eye" so we must help others to see. I want to help you see yourself as you really are. As God sees you, as I see you: Precious, beautiful, worthy, wonderfully and carefully crafted from stars in the universe. Let me take the best image of you that you have ever had made. I'm willing to bet that you will have a wonderful time as well.
You don't have to be photogenic or know how to pose. You don't have to lose weight, or change anything about yourself. Just come see me. I will handle the details, you will get treated like a star.
